It is with great sadness that I report the passing of the Master Designer and a simply incredible human being - Joel Iskowitz. I had the privilege of writing a memorial about him on COINage magazine's website.

Joel Iskowitz's design style captures the artistry of the great masters of the 20th Century American Coinage (1900-1930), such as those designs of Saint-Gaudens, Weinman, Brenner, de Francisci, and the Frasers.
