It is with great sadness that I report the passing of a Master Coin Designer and a simply incredible human being - Joel Iskowitz. He was not only a gifted artist and a creative talent. He was one of my closest friends. While I still enjoy his artwork, I miss him every day!
Joel Iskowitz's design style captures the artistry of the great masters of the 20th Century American Coinage (1900-1930), such as those designs of Saint-Gaudens, Weinman, Brenner, de Francisci, and the Frasers.
